SPOILERS Did anyone else feel like the whole neighbour thing was actually a lot more disturbing and dark than most of the ghostly stuff in the movie (not counting the cellphone doppelgänger scene, that shit traumatised me) she was babysitting for about 2 years, she died at 16 so therefore she started at around 14, we dont know how many encounters she had with the neighbours and how long it was going on for, plus, in the tape they found, you dont see/hear much but it sounded like she mightve been crying, its not clear but it opens up the possibility that maybe they were sexually abusing her, and even if they werent, she was still underage, it just made my skin crawl and it was frustrating and sad when they got away with it, i understand its not a massive part of the movie and I may be way off but that just shows how great and disturbing this movie is, theres so many things to talk about, mainly how she actually died, I feel like because that was never really looked into that much, she actually wasnt free at all in the end, the family moved away leaving her spirit unrested, I had to remind myself that its just a movie when I finished watching because of how well it was done, it definitely left a hollow and unnerving feeling.

'Hermes’ meanwhile drives along at a casual 100bpm, with a cumbia-styled Casio line, and a jaunty, leisure-like, Latin-groove, and fiesta feel. The final track on the EP, 'Maria’s Holiday' has another up-beat, Casio-styled groove, set alongside a poolside party, with bongo-beat rumblings and a disco rhythm. It’s the soundtrack to a summer cocktail party, to watch the sun slowly set on a tropical fiesta. Bruxas is the collaborative project between Jacco Gardner and Nic Mauskovic who joined forces while playing in the support band for the 70s James Brown-meets-Black Sabbath act, Witch. Gardner — having firmly established himself as a credible force within the psych-rock community with two solo LPs and a psych-rock sound — and Mauskovic — whose catalogue includes acts such as Altin Gün, and The Mauskovic Dance Band — teamed up in Portugal with their shared love for library music, and 70s psychedelia, naming their new creation Bruxas — Portuguese for Witch. With a featured appearance booked in at Dekmantel Festival, also featuring Tienson on percussive duties, be sure to note that this will be a big year for the retro-party boys.

The film adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic ` The Witches" is a breathtaking spectacle that will delight a variety of viewers. Anjelica Huston is simply outstanding as "The Grand High Witch. She is the perfect actress to portray the dark, albeit laughable, character.
Luke (Jasen Fisher) is a young boy living with his grandmother, Helga (Mai Zetterling. Mai is perfectly cast as the doting, adventuresome grandmother. Helga regales Luke with stories of witches, dangerous creatures who seek to harm children.
I particularly liked the lack of Americanization in this film, as opposed to a similar counterpart, the adaptation of ` Matilda. The film stays true to the book for the majority. Unfortunately, the happy ending, which was loathed by Roald Dahl himself, detracts from the seemingly perfect adaptation.
In any event, The Witches' is sure to be a hit among kids (and adults as well. Anyone who has enjoyed the book is sure to enjoy this film version.
